Why Start and keep going…

You’ve found something you can describe as your passion, it brings you happiness and purpose when you start. Accomplishing the task will create an emotion of pure identification with yourself and who you are. The proof of your labor put into something shareable; the art you’ve taken from your brain to create something presentable.

Sadly sometimes.. A day goes by, maybe two, and you notice the momentum and vigor you started with… is draining. You wonder what else you can be doing and set aside your passion for something that might provide instant gratification.

Why?

We do this for many reasons, one is the human brain isn’t capable of multitasking as well as we believe we can. Or someone said it wasn’t a catchy idea, so you let it go.

It’s taken me five years to start this. The biggest win, for me is the moment of doing. Moral of the story- you can start whenever you want; you’re just going to have to be consistent once you start. I thought about creating a blog with my dog when I adopted her and even to this day; and now I will.

Bailey March 13 2015 I went to an animal shelter

why do we start putting ourselves out there ? Why do we want our words to be reviewed and taken seriously ? My goal is that you love something just as much as I love my fur baby, or you’re looking to figure out; “how do I start something from scratch?”

When finding your why; you’ll be capable of anything. Than getting started, will be cake. The keeping going part, well there are going to be roadblocks and in those situations being able to lay out your plan is essential. I recommend a layout plan for what to do next, either using a book, a calendar, or an app (ie: Trello)

Realizing that you want to get started – from my advice; the best thing you can do to identify what you’re passionate about and from there pinpoint your WHY. Finding your why is the one thing no one can take away from you, you’re determined to achieve this through your struggles and when you feel that you have no motivation to keep going on your own.

Motivation is the backbone of all activities that you take on for yourself. If you lack the right motivational affirmations click the link and pick the few that resonate with you.

When starting your next venture here are some things to think of:

  1. You are exactly what you need – let’s fine tune
  2. Lay out your plan – understand the steps
  3. Find your why and keep yourself focused
  4. Visualize your goals – easier to make adjustments
  5. Get back to basics – communicate and complete the simple tasks
  6. Remember you will succeed

There will always be obstacles in-front of you and you will continue to jump those hurdles. Sometimes it’s better to have a partner helping you along the way; whether it be a coach, consultant, or business partner, it’s important to have someone with a similar vision. This is your purpose.

Your why, will be the reason you continue to better yourself; the reason your success is going to thrive when others could throw in the towel. When discovering your why ponder;

  • who/what makes you happy
  • what are you wishing for
  • your morals and values

Finding your why will help you understand, if you had all the money in the world, what would continue to make your unbelievably happy. For me, my dog makes me extremely happy. I know, I would like for us to have a spoiled life with no restrictions on where we go.
